Péter Simon
<About_The_Speaker/>
Short bio of the speaker
Péter is a lifelong computer and security nerd who has worked across DevOps, enterprise infrastructure security, incident response, and grinding night shifts in the SOC over the last 8 years. He graduated as a Computer Engineer at Óbuda University, where he regularly goes back to teach security courses or collaborate on research projects.
His latest endeavor is building Gjallarhorn Labs, a company developing EU-native, high-performance security software optimized for datacenter-scale threat detection. This gives him the opportunity to indulge his love for software engineering and architecture, driven by clean code, low-level understanding, and breathing new life into “obsolete” hardware.
He lives in Timișoara with his wife and spends his downtime finding the best coffee in the city, chilling in their home theater, or swearing at bugs in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
