Yuvaraj Govindarajulu is AVP – Product Engineering and Head of Research at Protectt.ai. He
is Co-Lead of the OWASP AI Bill of Materials (AI BOM) Project and a Co-Author and
Workstream Lead for the OWASP AI Exchange.
Yuvaraj brings over 14 years of experience across Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and
Embedded Systems R&D. He is a co-inventor on 22+ international patent filings, with research
and product interests spanning AI Red Teaming, GenAI Guardrails, AI Supply Chain Security,
and Ransomware Attacks on AI Systems. He is also a co-creator of the RAID-AI Framework,
focused on advancing research into ransomware threats against AI systems.
Yuvaraj has also contributed to international AI security and assurance initiatives,
including as a consortium member of the EU Horizon project COBALT, focused on continuous AI certification.
Previously, Yuvaraj contributed to international standards and industry initiatives through
organizations including the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and
ISO, helping shape emerging practices in AI and cybersecurity. He has presented his work at
leading security and technology conferences, including DEF CON, BSI IT Security Congress,
OWASP AppSec EU, OWASP AppSec India, and it-sa Nuremberg.
His research has been published and presented at leading conferences and workshops,
including NeurIPS, ICVS, IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern
Recognition (CVPR), IEEE SecDev, and IEEE ISDFS.
