Marc Lampo is an experienced Unix and network user.
Started with Unix back in 1983, with networking (sockets) in 1985.
Developer and presenter of the "UNIX Network Programming" course for the Dutch company AT Computing.
Busy with DNS since early 1990's. During my professional career I've been doing DNS from several points of view :
- as hostmaster for a Belgian ISP
- as consultant to setup DNS for companies
- as Security Officer for EURid, the registry for .eu
(the proposed subject is a further development on my presentation title DNS - Diabolic Napster Service - for the first CENTR Security Working group, Frankfurt, 2012
But CENTR meetings are closed groups only - this subject merits to be available more globally.)
This presentation and the workshops are presented with the hat of independent consultant.
It is an extra job I perform mainly to share knowledge and experience with high school students and at conferences.
